Until relocating to California in June 2017, Bob Van Der Velde served as the 2017 President-elect of the Association of Florida Colleges. He previously served on the AFC Board of Directors as Vice President for Commissions, Parliamentarian, and as Chair of the Instiutional Effectiveness, Planning & Professional Development (IEPPD) Commission.
