Bob Van Der Velde is proud to have supported Mayor (now Secretary of Transportation) Pete Buttigieg for the Democratic nomination for President in 2020. Van Der Velde continues to be active in local, state, and national politics, and was appointed by Assemblymember Cecilia Aguilar-Curry as a Delegate to the California Democratic Convention. He has been a Delegate to three Democratic National Conventions.
